Peter Mitchell
Peter has emerged as one of the most popular new faces on TV on the back of his role as Pete Hamill in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
The Irishman actor’s own story is a fascinating one. He was a budding footballer with Leeds United, coming through the ranks with the likes of Alan Smith, Harry Kewell and Jonathan Woodgate, until a car accident left him paralysed.
However, such as his attitude, Peter immediately took up wheelchair basketball, breaking his way in to Great Britain’s side and representing the side at international level, including the European Championships.
He also turned his attention to another talent, acting, and immediately landed a role in Jack Thorne’s drama, Cast Offs, an acclaimed stint that saw him offered a regular role in Hollyoaks.
Peter also appeared in Channel 4’s Comedy Lab Rick & Peter, a show centred around political correctness, alongside Rick Edwards, and in late 2011 he’ll make his debut in White Van Man.
