SOCATOTS
Following the phenomenal impact of the Brazilian Soccer Schools, the organisation he launched in 1996 and which grew into the largest of its kind in the world, Simon Clifford founded SOCATOTS, the world’s first pre-school programme for children aged six months to five years that uses football as a medium, in 2002.
Following the birth of his first daughter, Mary, Simon had identified a dearth of football-based programme aimed at developing children’s motor skills, numeracy, literacy, coordination and balance.
As such, he devised the SOCATOTS syllabus - taking inspiration from the methods employed by leading sporting figures across a range of sport - which has since been lauded as revolutionary by leading figures such as Sir Clive Woodward, Carlos Alberto, Jairzinho, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Sir Trevor Brooking.
SOCATOTS centres have since opened around the UK and in locations including Canada, South Africa, Finland, Norway, Australia, Dubai, Singapore and Thailand.
