Tom Rosenthal shortlisted in British Comedy Awards
Comedian up for Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist gong
Congratulations to Tom Rosenthal who is shortlisted for Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist in the British Comedy Awards 2012.
The comedian is shortlisted alongside Micky Flanagan, Greg Davies and Dan Renton Skinner for the award, the winner of which will be announced on C4's British Comedy Awards Live Show on Friday 16th December.
Tom has had a tremendous 2011, scooping the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year award in February before making his full TV debut in Robert Popper's Friday Night Dinner, receiving critical acclaim for his portrayal of Jonny in a cast including Tamsin Greig, Simon Bird, Paul Ritter and Mark Heap.
He also made his professional stage debut in Dominic Cooke's revival of Chicken Soup with Barley at The Royal Court Theatre, a production that scooped stellar reviews throughout its run, and in August Tom took his debut solo stand-up show, Child of Privilege, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Congratulations also to the team behind Friday Night Dinner, which stars fellow Multitude Media client Tracy-Ann Oberman, and which is shortlisted for Best Sitcom and Best New Comedy Programme in the Awards.
