Publicist – Culture & Entertainment

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Publicist to join our Culture & Live Entertainment publicity team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate PR professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and has a genuine love of comedy, podcasts, festivals, theatre and live events. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering creative and impactful publicity campaigns across a diverse portfolio of cultural and entertainment clients.

We are seeking someone with strong media relations skills who has worked in entertainment PR for at least three years and who has excellent organisation and writing ability, and the confidence to manage day-to-day campaign activity while working closely with senior team members and high profile talent.

The Role: Publicist, Culture & Entertainment

Campaign Delivery

●      Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns across live comedy, podcasts, festivals, experiential events and theatre.

●      Take responsibility for day-to-day campaign activity, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.

●      Contribute creative ideas and publicity strategies to support campaign success.

●      Act as a key day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining clear and proactive communication.

●      Draft client updates, coverage reports and campaign materials for senior review.

●      Assist in preparing presentations, campaign plans and meeting materials.

Media Relations

●      Bring your own and continue to build and maintain strong relationships with journalists across broadcast, print, online and digital media.

●      Secure high-quality coverage through proactive pitching and targeted media outreach.

●      Identify new media opportunities and relevant outlets for client campaigns.

●      Monitor media coverage and support reactive press activity where required.

●      Draft press releases, listings copy, media briefings and other publicity materials to a high standard.

Events & On-Site Publicity

●      Support the delivery of press activity at live events including press nights, launches, festivals, red carpets and photo calls.

●      Host media onsite and ensure smooth running of publicity activity.

●      Represent clients and the agency professionally at industry events.

Team Contribution

●      Work collaboratively within the Culture & Entertainment team to deliver high-quality campaigns.

●      Support and share knowledge with junior colleagues where appropriate.

●      Contribute to internal updates, reporting and team communications.

●      Maintain visibility for campaigns across company and project social media channels where required.

Project & Workflow Management

●      Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.

●      Maintain strong organisation across campaign timelines, press materials and reporting.

●      Ensure coverage reporting and campaign administration are delivered accurately and on time.

Additional Requirements

●      Availability to work at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe during August, including other weekend travel for projects throughout the year.

●      Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, including press nights, work-in-progress shows and gala events.

Key Information

Position: Publicist – Culture & Entertainment
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working around core hours of 10:00am–5:30pm
Salary:  £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience

Start Date: May 2026

Location: Hybrid working, combining remote working with attendance at our head office on Charlotte Street, Central London (Tottenham Court Road).

Expected office attendance: three days per week.
